A trisuit needs to dry fast, stay stable on the bike, avoid chafing during the run and provide support without feeling heavy. We therefore look beyond design and consider distance, zip position, pockets, pad, sleeves and athlete level.
Sprint, Olympic distance and long distance
For sprint triathlon and shorter races, freedom of movement, ventilation and fast transitions matter most. Olympic distance adds more focus on aerodynamics and comfort. For half and long distance, pad choice, pockets, sleeve length and compression become even more important because the athlete spends much longer in one suit.
